About 22 miles down the dirt track of 3 Forks Rd, off of Highway 95, west of Jordan Valley, in the SE corner of Oregon is the Owyhee Canyon Overlook.  It offers spectacular views of canyon lands, desert, and wide open spaces.  If you make the trek, make sure your vehicle can handle the terrain, keep an eye on the weather, as you will ford a creek on your way in and back, but it is worth the drive! After a 8 hour scenic drive, arriving just before sunset, the light made for an amazing opportunity, albeit a brief one.  Definitely inclined to return with more time to get more spectacular shots.  This was shot on March 20, 2020, as the state of Oregon was beginning it’s pandemic ‘Shelter in Place’ protocols, so there were time constraints on the overall trip – literally was about an hour away from arriving when the announcements began to go out.
